Tyler & Katie

It's been several weeks since Tyler & Katie moved south to start the next adventure in their lives together, and we at Arena Ready miss them dearly. 

As a community we're so fortunate to have a collection of incredible people as members, and many of them have been with us for a very long time.  The most "old school" members who were with us in the beginning are some of the friendliest, most supportive, and most encouraging folks you'll ever meet.  We've said it before, but it applies to these two just as much as anyone: our "OG" athletes like Tyler & Katie help shape the culture of our gym, welcome newcomers with smiles and and cheers of support, and they make us better by inspiring us to keep improving... as athletes, as coaches, and as people. 

They are our family.

Tyler (far right) was even a part of "Team Arena Ready" at our first official competition together, which was a fundraiser event to help build schools in Kenya:
Selfishly, we are sad that these two have left San Francisco - but we are also ecstatic for them as they create a new life together, making us all jealous by posting regular pictures of them reading the paper on the beach, or building cool furniture in their garage.  They promise to come by, say hello to everyone, and drop-in for a WOD whenever they're back in SF - so if you're in touch with these two please ensure that they make good on their word (i.e. give them crap if we haven't seen them in a while).

Thanks, you two, for being such a big part of Arena Ready for so long.  You'll always have a home full of friends at 1263 Connecticut Street who wish you were here lifting heavy stuff with us.
