Ya Left Me Hanging, Ladies!

by Arena Ready on November 29th, 2015

During a recent class it was clear that two of the Daves got the memo, and so did the Mollys, but Kathy was wondering where all the Kathys/Kathryns/Catherines/Kates/Katys were that left
her hanging...
It was pretty cool to see NEARLY 40 BACK SQUAT PRs in the gym last week as we concluded our squat cycle!  I wish we had a video of every single PR but alas, I'm not so great at having the camera phone ready to rock at all times.  We did manage to capture one of the cool reps... here's Kate with a back squat PR of 235 lbs at a bodyweight of 108 lbs (that's 217% of bodyweight, folks!):
Following the conclusion of all that squatting, how about some overhead action to start the week?

WOD for 11-30-15:

Strict Press:
4-3-2-1

-then-

Push Press:
4-3-2-1

-then-

Push Jerk:
4-3-2-1

If your push press and push jerk technique is rock solid, then increase the weight every set across all three movements, for a total of twelve climbing work sets (i.e. the bar only goes up in weight).  If that is unreasonable (be honest with yourself!) decrease the weight when starting the next movement, then climb back up again to a single in four sets.

(Compare to 08-19-15)
